1. What is the QuarkChain Guardian Plan?

On the one hand, the long-awaited QuarkChain mainnet is about to be launched, and many community members have huge energy and willingness to participate in the ecological construction of the QuarkChain mainnet. On the other hand, due to the limited computing power of the early QuarkChain mainnet, there is a potential risk of being attacked by computing power.

In order to respond to the enthusiasm of community users to participate in QuarkChain ecological construction, work together to create a flexible, efficient, and popular QuarkChain ecology, protect the interests of everyone in the QuarkChain community, and ensure that the root chain has sufficient computing power to ensure the security of the entire network, we have decided to launch this Guardian Plan, mobilize mining rewards after the mainnet goes online, and reward all participants in this plan.

First of all, the QuarkChain main network adopts a root chain + shard structure. The root chain is responsible for verifying transactions on shards to achieve a balanced solution of efficiency, security, and decentralization, and adopts a completely original consensus mechanism: PoSW.

PoSW combines the two major characteristics of PoW and PoS. For mining, the higher the proportion of computing power in the entire network, the greater the number of coins required. Currently, the QuarkChain root chain uses a simplified version of PoSW, the Guardian Consensus, to provide computing power protection for the main network.

In the early stage of launch, in order to avoid the potential risk of being attacked by computing power due to the low computing power of the root chain for verifying shard transactions, the QuarkChain root chain will temporarily use a simplified version of PoSW, the Guardian consensus. this stage, the root chain computing power protection work is completely handed over to the guardians. The guardians will jointly maintain the security of the main network in the early stage of the main network. After the root chain is stable, it will gradually and completely transition to the PoSW consensus.

The Guardian Plan only targets the root chain, and the mining difficulty of each shard is entirely determined by hash power. All mining proceeds from the nodes on the root chain will be used for QuarkChain ecology, community building and rewarding Guardian Program participants.

In order to ensure that community construction funds can truly reward the staunch supporters of the QuarkChain project, we set up a method of staking QKC to screen candidates and rely on the whole community to vote to determine reward distribution.

2. Description of the rules of the Guardian Plan

We launch two guardianship modes based on scale:

1. Guardian Angel - Screened by the team after registration.

2. Guardian Elf - voted by the community after registration.

During the execution of the Guardian Plan, based on the participation of members, we will not only provide basic participation rewards to all users who participate in community construction, but also provide huge rewards based on their influence and contribution to the protection of the main network.

Double rewards:

Reward 1: During the event, community members who participate in the Guardian Elf vote will receive a basic return of 10% annualized rate of return as a reward for participating in the QuarkChain ecological construction (see below for specific calculation methods).

Reward 2: Community members who are elected as Guardian Elf and participate in the Guardian Elf vote will also participate in sharing the prize pool of 40 million QKC every year (see below for specific calculation methods).

In order to increase user enthusiasm for participation and show the team's long-term persistence in the project vision, the QuarkChain team and the foundation will lock up the QKC amount 1:1 corresponding to the amount of QKC that all community members participate in voting.

Guardian Angels will be selected from community members who have had a significant positive impact on the development of QuarkChain, made important direct contributions, and will continue to cooperate with QuarkChain in the future. The guardian angels will work with the QuarkChain official team to become the backbone of the main network’s computing power protection.

Guardian Angel Application Requirements:

2. Pledge at least 10 million QKC with a one-year pledge period.

(2) Become a guardian elf

In order to give more people the opportunity to participate in community building, we have also prepared the QuarkChain Guardian Elf Plan. Requirements for becoming a guardian elf:

4. How to vote for the Guardian Elf
